We are seeking a Part-Time Art and Craft Designer who is passionate about creating captivating backdrops and stage decorations for school events, theme days, and celebrations. This opportunity is perfect for a creative individual who enjoys working with children's themes and excels in hands-on decoration work with a flexible schedule. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing attractive, theme-based backdrops and stage setups for school events and functions. Collaboration with teachers and event coordinators to comprehend event themes and decoration requirements will be essential. Prior to commencing work, you will be expected to prepare sketches or visual references for approval. Crafting props and decorative elements using various materials such as thermocol, fabric, cardboard, and paper will be a key part of your role. Furthermore, you will be responsible for setting up and dismantling stage decorations at the venue, ensuring safety and tidiness. Additionally, organizing and sustaining art and decoration supplies and utilizing materials creatively to reduce costs and waste will be crucial tasks. Occasionally, you may provide guidance to helpers, staff, or volunteers during extensive decoration projects. The ideal candidate will possess experience in art and craft, event decoration, or stage design, particularly in school or preschool settings. A creative mindset with a strong visual and aesthetic sense is essential. Proficiency in hands-on crafting skills with materials like paints, paper, cloth, and thermocol is required.
