Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Diaphragm Wall Engineer, located in Kathmandu. The Diaphragm Wall Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of diaphragm walls. Daily tasks include supervising and coordinating with the construction team, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, performing site inspections, and providing technical support and solutions as needed. Qualifications Experience 3/4 years of experience (From India) in diaphragm wall construction, including experience with deep excavations, reinforcement, and concreting Proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, and other related tools Engineering Degree: A Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering is typically required. Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant engineering software, knowledge of construction methods, and understanding of soil mechanics. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues and challenges during the construction process. Communication Skills: Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders. Candidate: Prefer Indian Candidate who can relocate to kathmandu Nepal. Typical Projects: Deep basements for buildings, Underground railway stations and tunnels, Cut-off walls for dams and other water-retaining structures, and Retaining walls for deep excavations. Core Responsibilities: Design Review and Optimization: Reviewing and optimizing the diaphragm wall design, considering site conditions, soil properties, and project requirements. Construction Planning and Coordination: Planning the construction process, including excavation, reinforcement installation, and concreting, ensuring it aligns with the project schedule and budget. Quality Control: Ensuring that the construction process adheres to quality standards and specifications, including material testing, dimensional control, and workmanship. Technical Support: Providing technical expertise and guidance to the construction team, addressing any challenges or issues that arise during the construction process. Documentation and Reporting: Preparing method statements, reports, and other necessary documentation related to the D-wall construction. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with other engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
