Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled ETL Tester with strong knowledge of Data Warehousing (DWH), SQL, and GCP BigQuery. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of testing methodologies, hands-on ETL testing experience, and expertise in validating large-scale data systems within cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform ETL and Data Warehouse (DWH) testing for large and complex datasets.
• Write, review, and execute test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Conduct functional, regression, sanity, and data validation testing.
• Validate transformation rules, mappings, and data quality across systems.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries for backend validation.
• Manage and track bugs through the defect life cycle, ensuring timely resolution.
• Work with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Collaborate with developers and data engineers to ensure accurate data migration and transformation.
• Leverage BigQuery and GCP tools to perform cloud data validation and reporting.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of Testing Concepts, Testing Types, STLC, and SDLC.
• Proven experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse (DWH) concepts.
• Hands-on experience in SQL (queries, stored procedures, joins, functions).
• Experience with Defect Life Cycle management tools (JIRA, HP ALM, etc.).
• BigQuery expertise for data validation in cloud-based systems.
• GCP understanding for working in a cloud data ecosystem.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of automation frameworks for data validation.
• Experience in BI/Reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Exposure to Python or Shell scripting for automation.
