Role & responsibilities - Oversee and manage all on-site activities related to mechanical construction projects, specializing in piping fabrication and erection, PnID, equipment installation, structural fabrication, tank fabrication, prefabricated structures and piping design. - Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. - Supervise site personnel, including subcontractors, to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project requirements. - Review and interpret engineering drawings, PnID, piping isometrics, and technical specifications for carbon steel and stainless steel piping. - Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to monitor work progress and ensure adherence to project plans. - Manage site logistics, including resource allocation, material procurement, and equipment maintenance. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates, resolve issues, and address client concerns. - Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Preferred candidate profile - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - Proven experience in mechanical construction, with expertise in piping fabrication, equipment installation, and structural fabrication. - Strong knowledge of piping design principles, piping isometrics, and fabrication techniques for carbon steel and stainless steel. - Excellent leadership and communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. - Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite. - Certification in construction management or relevant field is a plus. 1. Project Planning & Scheduling Develop, update, and monitor project schedules Define work breakdown structures (WBS), project milestones, and critical paths. Coordinate with project teams to track site progress and update schedules regularly. Forecast manpower, material, and equipment requirements. Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports for management and clients. Identify potential delays and recommend corrective actions. 2. Billing & Cost Management Prepare client bills (RA Bills / Progress Payment Certificates) as per contract terms and approved measurements. Verify and process subcontractor and supplier bills against site measurements and work progress. Reconcile quantities with project drawings, BOQs, and site execution data. Maintain records of approved and pending bills, variation claims, and change orders. Assist in cost forecasting, cash flow preparation, and budget control. Coordinate with the commercial/finance team for invoice approvals and payment tracking. Qualifications & Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Experience: 3–5 years of experience in planning and billing in mechanical construction projects Software Skills: AutoCAD, MS Excel (advanced) Soft Skills: Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
