As a Control/Firmware Engineer at our company, you will utilize your 6-8 years of experience in troubleshooting, firmware debugging, and semiconductor equipment support. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing and resolving system issues, collaborating with teams, and optimizing equipment performance. While working independently on routine tasks, you will receive guidance for complex challenges to ensure system reliability and efficiency. To qualify for this role, you must hold a degree in B.E/MS/M. Tech Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation with a strong background in Industrial automation software. Additionally, a minimum of 6-7 years of hands-on experience in control engineering and industrial automation is required. You should also possess expertise in troubleshooting, log analysis, equipment/tool handling, machine control logic, and technical documentation creation. Your key responsibilities will involve providing technical support for engineering systems, collaborating with customers and factory teams, supporting new hardware/software installations, and working closely with the Global Product Support (GPS) team to develop documentation related to firmware updates. You will also be responsible for robot log analysis, firmware release management, component version control, deployment, and communication. The ideal candidate for this role should have hands-on experience with industrial automation and control systems software, possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, and be proficient in firmware version control and release management. Knowledge of motion control systems, embedded software, and industrial communication standards like RS232, Modbus, Ethernet & EtherCAT would be advantageous. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.
