EQUIPMENT & MATERIAL CERTIFICATION (EMC) SURVEYOR

Role Overview: As a Surveyor of materials & equipment for ships and offshore units, your main responsibility will be to conduct surveys and inspections of materials & equipment, perform audits at manufacturing facilities, generate comprehensive reports on survey/audit findings, issue certificates, and communicate with manufacturers regarding surveys & audits. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct surveys and inspections of materials & equipment for ships and offshore units - Perform audits at manufacturing sites - Generate comprehensive reports on survey/audit findings - Issue certificates - Liaise with manufacturers regarding surveys & audits - Stay updated with Bureau Veritas (BV) rules, industry developments, regulations, and best practices relevant to marine and offshore materials and equipment - Follow technical working instructions issued by the Head Office Marine & Offshore Division - Refer to BV Rules, standards, regulations, specifications, and approved drawings for technical guidance - Ensure that stamps, tools, and notebooks are used according to working instructions - Report any claims or complaints received from clients to the manager Qualifications Required: - BE or equivalent in Naval Architecture/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent certification - 2-5 years of experience in materials and equipment surveying within the maritime and offshore industry or foundry preferred - In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations, classification society requirements, and industry best practices - Previous experience with shipyard, marine & offshore projects, or foundry considered an advantage - Ability to acquire new skills and knowledge - Good communication skills in English - Demonstrate team spirit - Ability to work with minimum supervision,
