You will be working as an Assistant Welder in a leading Manufacturing Company based in Bangalore, Karnataka. The ideal candidate for this position should have 0-2 years of experience and hold a qualification of ITI/Diploma in any stream. Proficiency in Kannada is mandatory for this role. Your primary responsibility will be to assist welders in various tasks such as preparing materials, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring a safe working environment. You will also be involved in assisting with welding processes, cleanup activities, and transportation of materials. Some of your key tasks will include cleaning and smoothing welds to ensure the final product meets high-quality standards, preparing materials and work areas for welding by cleaning, grinding, and aligning materials properly. You will operate tools and equipment which may include hand tools, power tools, and basic welding equipment. In addition, you will be responsible for preparing materials for welding by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal pieces to meet project requirements. Workspace management is crucial as you will need to maintain a clean and organized workspace, set up and dismantle welding equipment, and ensure safety protocols are followed. You will also assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of welding equipment and tools, including transportation and storage. During welding processes, you will hold and position workpieces, provide support to the welder, and ensure proper alignment. Performing basic checks on welds and finished products to identify any issues or defects will be part of your quality control responsibilities. Safety compliance is essential, and you must follow safety guidelines and procedures, wear appropriate protective gear, and ensure a safe working environment at all times. Effective communication and collaboration with welders and other team members are also key aspects of this role to provide support and assistance as needed.
