ENT Consultant (Otolaryngologist)

Job Summary:

To attend OPD, IPD & Procedure under the department of ENT

Key Responsibilities:

Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck.

· Conduct outpatient consultations and ward rounds for admitted patients.

· Perform ENT surgeries such as tonsillectomy, septoplasty, sinus surgery, tympanoplasty, Tracheostomy and other relevant procedures.

· Interpret diagnostic tests such as audiograms, nasal endoscopy, and imaging reports.

· Provide emergency ENT care for trauma, bleeding, and airway obstruction cases.

· Coordinate with anesthetists, radiologists, and other specialists for comprehensive patient management.

· Educate patients on preventive care and post-operative follow-up.

· Participate in clinical meetings, CME programs, and hospital quality improvement initiatives.

· Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control policies.

Qualification and Experience:

· Qualification: MS / DNB from a recognized institution.

· Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of post-qualification experience as an ENT Consultant or Specialist in a hospital setup.

Skills and Competencies:

· Excellent clinical and surgical skills.

· Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.

· Effective communication and patient counseling skills.

· Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.

· Compassionate and ethical approach toward patient care.

· Proficiency in using hospital information systems and EMRs.

Should be able to do routine to complex surgeries independently.
