English Teacher

Job Summary:

The English Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons that enhance students reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in alignment with the CBSE curriculum. The teacher should foster a love for language and literature while ensuring academic excellence.

Role & responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured lessons following the CBSE curriculum for Classes VIX.
  
• Teach grammar, comprehension, creative writing, and literature effectively to develop students language proficiency.
  
• Design and assign classwork, homework, and projects; evaluate and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  
• Maintain records of student progress, attendance, and academic performance as per school policy.
  
• Prepare students for internal assessments, periodic tests, and board-oriented evaluations.
  
• Encourage reading habits and literary appreciation through classroom activities and school events.
  
• Communicate effectively with parents during PTMs and as required to discuss student development.
  
• Collaborate with peers to develop integrated lesson plans and support co-curricular language initiatives.
  
• Maintain discipline, decorum, and a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  

Qualifications and Experience:

• M.A. / B.A. (English) from a recognized university with

  B.Ed. qualification

  (mandatory).

• 05 years

  of teaching experience in English at TGT level (Classes III to X) in a CBSE-affiliated school.
• Sound understanding of CBSE curriculum and evaluation pattern.
  
• Proficiency in English communication (both written and spoken).
  
• Familiarity with digital tools and online teaching platforms preferred.
