As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating daily machining activities to meet production targets. You will ensure optimal utilization of machines such as CNC, VMC, Lathe, etc., and manpower. Monitoring production output and taking corrective actions in case of deviations will be a key part of your role. Your duties will also involve assigning tasks to machinists, operators, and other shop floor staff. Monitoring their performance, discipline, and attendance, as well as providing training and guidance to operators as needed, will be essential for efficient manpower supervision. Quality assurance is a critical aspect of this position. You will be required to ensure that all machined components meet drawing and quality specifications. This includes coordinating with the Quality Control team for inspections and defect analysis, as well as initiating corrective and preventive actions for quality issues. Additionally, you will need to coordinate with the maintenance team for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance. Monitoring machine conditions, tool wear, and process parameters to minimize downtime and improve machine efficiency will be part of your responsibilities. Ensuring safety and compliance on the shop floor is paramount. You will need to enforce adherence to safety protocols, PPE usage, and 5S practices, as well as identify and mitigate potential hazards. Compliance with ISO/EMS/TPM or other industry-specific standards is also crucial. In terms of documentation and reporting, you will be responsible for maintaining daily production reports, downtime logs, and shift handover notes. Tracking raw material and tooling consumption, as well as reporting production performance and bottlenecks to management, will be part of your regular tasks.,
