Engineering Technician - Electrician

You will be responsible for attending to guest repair requests and communicating with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Your duties will include performing preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment, visually inspecting tools and equipment, carrying equipment, identifying and operating shut-off valves, maintaining maintenance inventory, and communicating daily activities and issues to other shifts. Additionally, you will be expected to display basic knowledge in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and energy conservation. You will also be required to perform surface preparation, painting, minor repairs, light bulb replacements, and thorough cleanup of work areas. Key Responsibilities: - Respond and attend to guest repair requests - Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment - Inspect tools, equipment, or machines - Identify and operate shut-off valves - Maintain maintenance inventory - Communicate daily activities and issues - Display basic knowledge in various maintenance categories - Perform surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs - Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment - Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs - Program TV's and perform general housekeeping duties - Use the Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance work - Perform repairs on landscaping and sprinkler systems - Display basic computer skills Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent - Some experience in general maintenance and painting - Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus - Valid Driver's License The JW Marriott is dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, fostering an inclusive environment where the unique backgrounds of associates are valued.
