Summary:As a Mechanical Engineering Practitioner, you will design, analyze, and build structures, machines, devices, systems, and mechanical processes. A strategic aerospace engineering leader specializing in rotary wing platforms, with a strong track record in driving technical delivery, innovation, and client satisfaction. Experienced in shaping engineering processes, delivery governance, and team capability development. Proven ability to influence design and compliance strategies through direct engagement with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Passionate about digital transformation, with a focus on advancing MBSE, MBD, and digital continuity across the product lifecycle.
Roles & Responsibilities:You will join the Aerostructure Engineering team, contributing across the full engineering lifecyclefrom initial concept and design through certification and build line supportcovering end-to-end (E2E) responsibilities. Key responsibilities include the design and development of primary and secondary structural components (both metallic and composite materials), assemblies, and system installations for a range of fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft platforms. Support in the design validation through static dynamic and impact analysis of rotary wing aircraft structural components. Work under the guidance of the Lead Engineer to develop complex 2D and 3D FE models, their integration, properties allocation, validation and verification of FE models, Analysis deck preparation/editing, perform different structural Analyses, result extraction and post processing using inhouse macros. Use meshing and analysis guidelines for static, dynamic and impact analysis FE model creation and ensure the FE models created by team are compiled to the guidelines and are of high quality. Perform the checks and prepare FEA V&V documents, capture the required checks for the FE models. Also ensure the physics of the problem is correctly simulated in the FE models and if required use your expertise and guidance to align with the requirements. Perform the required analyses task under supervision for the low RF/MOS mitigation, Alternative concepts analyses, creation of inputs for the review and certification reports. Address design challenges and implement the proposed optimal engineering solutions aligned with project goals and constraints. Apply basic principles of aerospace structures design /sizing and material selection. Interpret technical requirements and execute assigned tasks within defined timelines, ensuring high-quality output with minimal errors. Assist in interpreting technical requirements and validate it through justification analyses. Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into iterative improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with structural and performance goals. Engage in training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skillsets relevant to the role. Professional & Technical Skills:
Good experience of 2D/3D mesh creation and meshing guidelines, FE Modeling, and Assembly integration methodologies. Experience of static dynamic and impact analysis for sizing of large, fixed-wing or rotary wing aircraft for major OEMs. Knowledge of classical hand calculations for simple structural parts Command over MSC NASTRAN/PATRAN/ Hypermesh/ Optistruct is must F&DT knowledge, Excel MACROS using VBA / Python and Catia V5 is a plus Understanding of Engineering Drawings and Analysis data extraction from CAD models. Must have knowledge of structural classification, primary and secondary structure design requirements, load path and structural response
