Summary:As a Mechanical Engineering Practitioner, you will design, analyze, and build structures, machines, devices, systems, and mechanical processes. A strategic aerospace engineering leader specializing in rotary wing platforms, with a strong track record in driving technical delivery, innovation, and client satisfaction. Experienced in shaping engineering processes, delivery governance, and team capability development. Proven ability to influence design and compliance strategies through direct engagement with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Passionate about digital transformation, with a focus on advancing MBSE, MBD, and digital continuity across the product lifecycle.
Roles & Responsibilities:Lead strategic aerospace engineering engagements for rotary wing platforms, driving technical delivery, innovation, and client satisfaction. Play a key role in shaping engineering processes, delivery governance, and team capability development. Engage directly with aerospace OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers and regulatory bodies, influencing design decisions, compliance strategies, and product lifecycle outcomes. Drive digital engineering transformation, championing initiatives around MBSE, MBD, and digital continuity. Oversee static, dynamic, and impact sizing analysis for primary/secondary rotary wing structures. Establish engineering best practices, review frameworks, and quality gates. Provide oversight across concept development, stress validation, integration, and certification. Plan analysis/test requirements for metallic and composite materials, ensuring structural integrity and compliance. Act as Level II/III checker or approver for analysis reports and test documentation. Integrate cost, weight, safety, and manufacturability into design lifecycles. Lead root cause investigations, risk assessments, and corrective actions for structural issues. Finalize technical requirements within timelines and ensure high-quality outputs. Developing L3 level planning compliant to program milestones and driving scope / requirements and Input management accordingly to meet defined planning. Establish method documents, report templates, and SLAs during project setup. Drive scope definition, requirement traceability, and analysis across the structural lifecycle. Represent Accenture in technical discussions, aligning deliverables with client expectations. Lead discussions on analysis methods, meshing, and sizing guidelines. Track milestones, manage schedules, and ensure alignment with program goals. Monitor evolving requirements, manage changes, and ensure compliance with cost/schedule targets. Act as the key technical liaison, ensuring clarity and alignment on project deliverables. Build and mentor a high-performance engineering team with clear vision and growth plans. Conduct coaching, reviews, and succession planning. Contribute to internal initiatives, including design automation and digital workflows. Proven experience in static dynamic and impact analysis / sizing for design and integration of rotary-wing and/or fixed-wing aircraft structures across end-to-end design lifecycle phases. Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teamsincluding design, stress analysis, manufacturing, systems integration and quality within complex delivery frameworks for aerostructure development programs. Bachelors / masters degree (BE/MTech) in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering. Certifications in project management (PMP/Prince2), Six Sigma, or Digital Engineering will be plus. FEA considerations and meshing requirements for different types of structural analyses like static, dynamic, buckling and impact analysis. In-depth understanding of helicopter/aircraft load-bearing structures, with focus on structural integrity, stiffness, and load path optimization under both static, dynamic, and impact conditions. Strong awareness of static dynamic and impact strength justification analyses and failure modes relevant to metallic and composite airframe components. Familiarity with structural analysis considerations related to assembly line constraints, ergonomic considerations, and sequence planning to ensure seamless integration in high-rate production environments. Proficient in configuration management principles, including part lifecycle management, engineering change control, version tracking, and release processes will be plus. Professional & Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in the design/development and integration of metallic, sheet metal, and composite helicopter / aircraft structures for both primary and secondary components. Experience in weight optimization techniques, load path optimization, helicopter/aircraft certification and testing activities. Strong knowledge of airworthiness compliance regulations (e.g., CS-27/29, FAR 23/25), OEM design standards, and FAA/EASA certification processes. Experience in preparation of test plan, test orders, test load derivation and test to analysis correlation reports for component level and full-scale structural tests for rotary wing / fixed wing aircrafts. Experience managing design-to-cost, design-to-weight, and sustainability considerations across the design lifecycleProficient in common FEA tools is essential with experience in MSC NASTRAN/PATRAN, ABAQUS, HyperMesh/Optistruct. LS DYANA or similar tools is a strong plus. Technically sound, solution-driven leader with strong decision-making skills. Capable of guiding teams through complexity and ambiguity. Strong communicator and client interface, capable of aligning stakeholders. Passionate about mentoring and driving engineering excellence. Strategic mindset focused on quality, optimization, and best practices.
    Additional Information:- The candidate should have a minimum of 15 years of engineering experience in the Aerostructures domain, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership or program governance role.
  • This position is based at client location Bengaluru and 6 days a workweek requiring 8 working hours per day.- A B Tech/M Tech in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering is required
