What would you do? We are seeking a skilled Macro Developer (Excel VBA) to support the automation and processing of asset health data for key electrical infrastructure assets such as cables, transformers, and LV systems. The role focuses on building and maintaining Excel-based tools and dashboards that assist in tracking asset condition, maintenance history, and performance metrics.

What are we looking for?

3+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting Excel VBA Macros.

Proficiency in Excel formulas, pivot tables, charts, Power queries and data validation.

Strong understanding of data manipulation, cleaning, and formatting in Excel.

Experience working with large datasets and structured reports in utilities or engineering domains.

Ability to work independently and document macro logic and tool usage.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Computer Applications, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience integrating Excel with external databases (e.g., using ADO/ODBC in VBA).

Familiarity with asset data related to transformers, cables, switchgear, or LV systems

Basic understanding of asset management systems (e.g., Ellipse, Maximo) or maintenance workflows.

Familiarity with condition-based maintenance or asset health indicators (e.g., thermal loading, oil test results).
Roles and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Excel VBA macros for automation of data entry, validation, formatting, and reporting.

Create custom Excel tools for managing asset health scorecards, inspection logs, and maintenance schedules.

Work closely with asset engineers and data owners to design Excel templates aligned with operational needs.

Automate the generation of monthly/quarterly asset health reports and dashboards.

Integrate Excel files with backend data sources (e.g., CSV, Excel exports from EAM systems, or SAP connected databases).

Ensure accuracy, performance, and maintainability of macro code and spreadsheet tools.

Support users with troubleshooting, bug fixes, and enhancements of macro-driven tools.
