Engineering Manager (Frontend)

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of talented engineers in delivering cutting-edge web applications. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical foundation in React.js, Next.js, and modern web technologies, with expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript. It is essential to have hands-on experience in web development along with an understanding of backend technologies like Node.js. The role also requires strong team management, leadership capabilities, hands-on development skills, and familiarity with AWS Cloud services. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: - Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable web applications using React.js, Next.js, and modern web technologies. - Provide technical guidance and ensure best practices in coding, design, and performance optimization. - Ensure high-quality code through best practices, code reviews, and performance optimization. - Collaborate with backend teams working with Node.js/GoLang to ensure seamless system integration. Team Management: - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture. - Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and professional development plans. - Plan resource allocation and prioritize tasks in alignment with business objectives. Project Delivery: - Work with stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables. - Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and features while maintaining quality standards. - Drive agile methodologies and improve team productivity through efficient workflows. Cloud Management: - Utilize AWS Cloud services for application hosting, monitoring, and scalability. - Ensure the team leverages AWS effectively, optimizing costs and performance. Cross-functional Collaboration: - Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and QA teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. - Translate technical challenges into actionable solutions for non-technical stakeholders. Required Skills and Experience: Technical Expertise: - Strong experience with React.js, Next.js, and web development fundamentals. - Hands-on experience with backend languages like Node.js, ExpressJs/MERN stack. - Understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture. - Familiarity with AWS Cloud services such as EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch. Team Management: - Proven experience managing engineering teams, fostering a high-performance culture. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Development Practices: - Solid understanding of version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks. - Expertise in performance tuning, debugging, and application security.
