About The Role
As Engineering Manager for the Client Data Engineering team, you'll lead a talented group of engineers who design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines. Your leadership will drive projects that influence key business decisions, fuel product innovation, and support customer success. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on guidance to foster a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.
Your Day To Day
- Lead & Develop Teams: Mentor engineers through one-on-ones, feedback sessions, and career development plans. Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Deliver Impactful Projects: Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality data solutions. Manage sprint cycles, prioritize backlogs, and coordinate cross-functional dependencies.
- Drive Technical Excellence: Guide architecture decisions, champion best practices in data engineering, and encourage adoption of modern tools like Databricks, Snowflake, and PySpark.
- Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and QA to define requirements and deliver effective solutions. Communicate progress, risks, and blockers to leadership.
- Optimize Processes: Implement agile practices, improve pipeline performance, and ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
What You Bring To The Team
- Proven experience managing engineering teams in data-driven environments.
- Strong technical background in distributed systems, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with US healthcare data analysis.
What we would like to see, but is nice to have:
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, SQL, PySpark.
- Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
