Engineering Manager - Civil

You are looking for a Design Lead - Solar (Civil/Structural) position with a focus on solar PV power projects within the Renewable Energy sector. As a Design Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all civil and structural engineering activities, managing a team of design engineers and draughts persons, and ensuring the successful execution of projects from pre-bid to commissioning phases. Your role will involve leading and delivering civil/structural engineering outputs in accordance with project schedules, reviewing and approving structural designs, supervising drafting/modeling teams, and ensuring the timely delivery of engineering drawings and documents. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership, mentorship to the team, plan man-hour requirements, and conduct technical design reviews to ensure compliance with codes and standards. You will be responsible for overseeing the design scope, which includes structures such as Module Mounting Structures, Control and Inverter Room Buildings, Transformer & Equipment Foundations, Plant Roads, Drainage, Grading & Compound Walls, and validating vendor drawings. Moreover, you will provide project support across various phases, interface with clients, support site execution teams, and coordinate with Supply Chain Management for technical evaluations. To excel in this role, you should have expertise in designing steel and RCC structures for solar PV infrastructure, knowledge of relevant codes and standards, familiarity with geotechnical considerations, proficiency in detailing tools and 3D modeling software, and experience in preparing and reviewing BOQs and technical specifications. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, multitasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with excellent communication abilities. Desirable qualifications for this position include experience in BIM-based delivery, exposure to international solar EPC projects, and knowledge of sustainable design practices for renewable infrastructure.
