Description
As a candidate for the role, you will be responsible for defining Crew software technical roadmap and ensuring alignment to reference architecture, enterprise data standards, and modernization priorities including cloud-first and AI-enhanced solutions. Your key responsibilities will include: - Paving the way for squads to deliver autonomously at pace by removing technology blockers, decoupling applications, and streamlining processes. - Enabling velocity through tech enablers such as DevOps, containerization, and API-first design. - Planning, definition, and high-level design of solutions; assisting Squads to identify the right technologies and ensure sound architectural decisions. - Working with Chapter leads on defining and forecasting Crew tech capability requirements and supporting the implementation of practices, tooling, and training provided in the Crew. - Driving operational excellence and supporting teams in charge of mission-critical production services with diverse stakeholders and complex dependencies. - Ensuring good design, refactoring, and technical debt elimination while ensuring delivery within funding allocation and actively managing and mitigating delivery and delivered risk. - Being accountable for the development, performance management, and career progression of a number of Technology roles such as Software and Systems Engineers. In terms of tech skills, we use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. While we don't expect you to know them all, experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team: - Sound knowledge of large-scale distributed systems, Microservices, and Rest API Integration. - Cloud experience, particularly in AWS large scale data warehouse implementation. - Extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions. - Working knowledge of AI/ML and Gen AI applications and how they can enhance software engineering processes. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, or C# and experience developing microservices architecture on cloud platforms like AWS & Azure. - Interest in researching new AI tooling and being a daily user of AI coding assistants. - Knowledge of or experience in various frameworks and tools related to AI and ML. You should also possess strong technical leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to solve business-critical problems, as well as provide technical direction to teams, reviewing designs and code to ensure best practices. Proficiency in agile development methodologies and iterative experimentation from ideation to prototype to pilot to product is essential. With over 15 years of experience, you will be expected to demonstrate expertise in core engineering, software development, cloud modernization, AI/ML implementation, process design, and stakeholder management.
