Engineer Validation and Testing

As an Engineer Validation and Testing at GlobalFoundries, you will be working on gallium nitride and other power semiconductor technologies. You will be responsible for contributing to the test and validation of semiconductor devices, operating and maintaining test instruments, analyzing test results, and preparing test reports. Additionally, you will be expected to design new test methodologies, build test setups, and automate testing. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, operate, and maintain test setups for validation and characterization of power GaN semiconductor devices. - Perform various tests and analyze test data to characterize power GaN semiconductor devices. - Prepare detailed test reports with recommendations for the improvement of semiconductor manufacturing processes. - Develop new test solutions for the validation of power GaN semiconductor devices. - Support other teams across different geographies as per requirements. - Collaborate with suppliers to develop, improve, and maintain various test setups. - Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or equivalent degree holders in Electrical/Electronic Engineering/Science with 4-6 years of experience. - Hands-on experience in testing and characterizing semiconductor devices. - Prior experience in using semiconductor testers like B1505 and wafer probe station. - Proficient in both written & verbal communication skills. - Demonstrated analytical & positive thinking, desire to innovate, accountability for your work and people skills. - Passionate about working with new technologies. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's or equivalent degree holders in Electrical/Electronic with 3-5 years of experience. - Engineering/Science and in-depth knowledge of semiconductor device physics. - 2+ year experience developing test solutions for power GaN devices. - Proficient in Python programming and automating test equipment. - Good knowledge of Power Electronics Fundamentals. - Prior experience in Spice simulation, PCB design. - Flexible and enjoying the process to venture into uncharted waters.
