Experience in Automobile industry prefered

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Engineer Supplier Quality located in Sriperumbudur. The individual will focus on ensuring the quality of parts and components supplied by vendors, implementing quality assurance processes, and performing regular quality control assessments. Daily responsibilities include evaluating supplier processes, addressing quality issues, maintaining quality documentation, and collaborating with suppliers to improve product standards and processes.

Key Skills:

Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes. Good understanding of GD&T, PPAP, APQP, FMEA & supplier quality tools. Knowledge of SMT line processes (stencil printing, pick & place, reflow, AOI/AXI, SMD handling). Familiar with IPC standards: IPC-610, IPC-7351, IPC-7711/21. Strong knowledge in MS Excel & PPT

Roles & Responsibilities:

Conduct supplier audits and support new vendor approvals. Ensure quality of mechanical/electrical components for lighting & electrification products. Manage incoming quality, inspection standards, sampling, and defect analysis. Drive supplier corrective actions (8D, CAPA) and ensure timely closure. Validate ISIR/FAI and maintain inspection documentation. Monitor supplier performance (PPM, delivery, COPQ, quality trends). Handle nonconforming materials, NCRs & support QMS compliance. Analyse SMT defects, solder issues, electrical failures & prepare analysis reports. Interpret ICT/FCT/EOL test results and address systematic failures. Maintain QMS processes as per ISO 9001 & IATF 16949; support audits. Update SOPs, Control Plans, PFMEAs, WIs & process documents for continual improvement.
