Engineer, Software Quality Assurance

As a QA Engineer at Emerson, you will be an integral part of the controls and software team, responsible for Test Automation of user stories and implementing requirements with a strong focus on quality and performance. Your role will involve working both independently and collaboratively within the team to ensure the software meets the agreed-upon expectations. In this role, you will take ownership of small tasks, deliver results without constant supervision, and proactively seek assistance when needed. Your responsibilities will include developing test plans and procedures, creating and executing test suites, maintaining and enhancing automation pipeline and test environment, tracking defects, and recommending solutions. You will also be involved in researching innovative test methods, assisting team members through pair programming and code reviews, and driving world-class quality in product development and support. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, along with 2 to 4 years of QA experience in writing automation, test frameworks, and maintaining automated test infrastructure. Strong expertise in Python programming, a good understanding of Python Test Automation Frameworks such as PyTest/PyUnit, and familiarity with Software QA methodologies and practices are essential requirements. Preferred qualifications that would set you apart include knowledge and exposure to Industrial Automation, particularly in using Controller programming/HMI software.
