Engineer- Sensor Test

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a talented individual to join their Engineering Group, specifically focusing on Software Test Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on testing of sensors, sensor-related features, and facilitating seamless context exchange between Qualcomm products integrating Qualcomm Sensing Hub. The Sensing Hub enables low power context detection by amalgamating information from various sensors and radios. As a key member of the international sensor test team, your daily tasks will involve testing, verification, and calibration of embedded hardware integrating sensors, testing algorithms that fuse sensor and radio data, ensuring seamless communication across devices, and developing and maintaining automated test cases. Your responsibilities will include testing Qualcomm Sensing Hub features for Qualcomm products, developing test automation modules using C# and Python, verifying and calibrating sensors in embedded hardware, testing communication between devices with Qualcomm Sensing Hub, automating test cases, and troubleshooting issues observed during testing. You will collaborate with various teams globally to drive issue resolutions and support test, software development, and system teams in analyzing and debugging observed issues. The ideal candidate should possess 1-4 years of experience in testing embedded systems and developing automated test cases, proficiency in C/C++, experience with Android application programming, and familiarity with languages like Java and Python. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to prioritize tasks are crucial. Additionally, a solid understanding of embedded device debugging, knowledge of different radios, and familiarity with test methodologies and processes are desired. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Preferred qualifications include experience with Qualcomm test automation frameworks and tools, exposure to various sensors and associated test equipment, testing experience with Linux Embedded, Linux Android, and Windows mobile devices, and understanding of modem, WiFi, Bluetooth, audio, camera, and location technologies.
