Engineer -QA/QC

Role & responsibilities

• Ability to perform In-coming material inspection, In-process & Final Inspections and pre-dispatch inspections of Products.,
• Inspecting and testing of materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met on mechanical and electrical components and products.
• Awareness in welding inspection, codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO) should be able to understand welding symbols and WPS, WPQ PQR for welder qualification.
• Good understand in fabrication & assembly of equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical process like sandblasting, heat treatment, painting etc.
• Working knowledge of NDT that is responsible for carrying out inspection and testing of machinery.
• Experience in Quality Inspection Tool (5Whys, 7 QC)
• Experience in visiting supplier place for quality inspection and clearance of product and auditing supplier process according to ISO standards & product requirements.
• Should have worked in ISO 9001 certified company and maintaining ISO standards quality records.
• Ablilty to view and comprehend engineering drawings.
• Work experience in handling equipment calibration with plans and recording.
• Handling of material and product NCR and CAPA.
• Good communication skill in English with speaking and writing.
• Proficiency in Kannada is a must.

Preferred candidate profile

The desired candidate will be expected to have knowledge of Quality Inspection from incoming stage to final stage and should be have worked with ISO 9001standards. The candidate should be preferably from a mechanical equipment manufacturing industry with knowledge of welding codes and standards; NDT; equipment calibration; material handling & product NCR & CAPA. Familiarity with comprehending engineering drawings and proficiency in communicating in English & Kannada is a must.
