Engineer, Principal

As an Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be working as part of a multi-skilled IOT platform team focusing on various Linux-based operating systems. Your responsibilities will include contributing to the end-to-end software execution of Qualcomm SoC based IOT products, collaborating with the Product Marketing team to evaluate feature requirements, leading a small team of engineers with varied skills, developing features for Android and Linux/Ubuntu based Snapdragon products, supporting platform bring-ups across various SoCs, coordinating with cross-functional teams to identify and fix issues, and working with customer engineering teams to address platform-specific escalated issues. Additionally, you will ensure that product deliverables are competitive in terms of functionality, stability, and performance, while collaborating closely with geographically distributed core and execution teams across different time zones. Key Responsibilities: - Work on various Linux-based operating systems for Qualcomm SoC based IOT products - Collaborate with Product Marketing team to evaluate feature requirements and lead a team of engineers - Develop features for Android and Linux/Ubuntu based Snapdragon products - Support platform bring-ups and coordinate with cross-functional teams - Address customer escalated issues and ensure on-time product deliverables - Collaborate with geographically distributed teams on software execution Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field - Strong experience with C/C++ programming and new requirement scoping - Excellent communication and analytics skills - Hands-on experience with Android, Ubuntu, Linux kernel, and SOC systems - Knowledge of Multimedia subsystems and troubleshooting software/system issues - Strong aptitude, quick learner, and self-motivated with problem-solving skills - 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience As an equal opportunity employer, Qualcomm is committed to providing accessible processes for individuals with disabilities.
