Engineer - Maker Space

As an Engineer at GITAM SCHOOL OF BUSINESS, your role involves mentoring the community of innovators for building prototypes/products and assisting coaches and venture teams in the product development process. You will collaborate with departments and schools across the university to impart maker skills and foster a vibrant maker community. Your responsibilities also include identifying the needs of users, maintaining and upgrading the inventory of makerspace consumables and equipment, and training students in operating machinery with standard safety procedures during innovative product development. Additionally, you will stay updated on new technological developments in product development. Qualifications: - B. TECH/B.E. in Mechanical/EEE/ECE/Instrumentation with 1-3 years of practical experience, preferably from the industry - Proficiency in the usage of sensors and microprocessors - Experience in machining operations using power tools is preferable - Hands-on experience in product development would be an added advantage As part of the team at GITAM SCHOOL OF BUSINESS, you will have ample opportunities to contribute to the development of innovative ideas/products while engaging with the community.
