Engineer I, SW - Embedded C, Linux Developer

As a Linux middleware and application developer at HARMAN Automotive, you will be responsible for integrating Linux middleware with the Driver layer and developing applications. Your expertise in Embedded design and Linux middleware development, particularly in the Automotive sector, will be crucial for this role. You will also be involved in estimations, design activities, and enhancing the driving experience through audio systems and integrated technology platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Work on middleware and application development for Telematics based projects - Implement features based on GPS, Accel sensor, 3GPP, WIFI, BT - Take up kernel integration tasks - Debug and root cause embedded system issues - Contribute to estimations and design activities - Bring expertise in Embedded C/C++ in Automotive - Have a strong foundation in Embedded product development, preferably in Automotive or Mobile devices - Hands-on experience in multi-threaded programming and debugging - Exposure to board bring-up, boot loaders, device driver porting - Familiarity with serial protocols, storage devices, network protocols - Knowledge of Application processors like TI OMAP, MediaTek MTK series, Qualcomm processors - Understanding of Digital Video and Graphics fundamentals Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of experience in Embedded C/C++ in Automotive - Strong fundamentals in Embedded product development - Expertise in embedded system programming, preferably in Linux - Hands-on experience in debugging and root causing embedded system issues - Good exposure to board bring-up, boot loaders, device driver porting - Knowledge of serial protocols, storage devices, network protocols - Familiarity with Application processors like TI OMAP, MediaTek MTK series, Qualcomm processors - Fundamentals of Digital Video and Graphics preferred At HARMAN Automotive, you will have access to a flexible work environment, employee discounts, extensive training opportunities, competitive wellness benefits, tuition reimbursement, and an inclusive work culture that values personal and professional development.
