Engineer - Embedded Linux

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be responsible for designing, developing, creating, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs. You will collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions that meet and exceed customer needs. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for automotive platforms, focusing on Linux-based systems such as Yocto, Ubuntu, RHIVOS - Develop and integrate Linux kernel drivers, including support for virtualization and secure device provisioning - Contribute to the development of safety-certified software components and ensure compliance with ISO 26262 standards - Conduct threat modeling, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments for embedded Linux systems - Demonstrate proficiency in C for embedded systems, with C++ knowledge being an added advantage - Possess a deep understanding of Linux kernel internals, IOMMU, and virtio - Experience with secure coding practices, cryptography, key management, and disk encryption - Hands-on experience with debugging tools like gdb, Kgdb, JTAG, Lauterbach, etc. - Exposure to hypervisor and virtualization technologies like UEFI, ABL, KVM Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field - Proficiency in C for embedded systems, with C++ knowledge being an added advantage - Experience with Linux kernel internals, secure coding practices, and debugging tools - Exposure to hypervisor and virtualization technologies is a plus Additional Details: Qualcomm India Private Limited is committed to providing an accessible process for individuals with disabilities during the application/hiring process.
