Engineer Electrical Maintenance & Utilities

As a Maintenance Engineer in our organization, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted operation of reactor systems, utilities (chillers, compressors), electrical systems, and mechanical support equipment. This will involve planned and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, and proactive upkeep of all related assets. Your key responsibilities will include: - Electrical Maintenance: Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical panels, control circuits, motors, and power distribution systems. Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance for plant electrical systems. Ensuring timely calibration, testing, and servicing of electrical protective devices (MCBs, relays, contractors, etc.). Coordinating with electrical vendors for AMC and third-party maintenance support. - Reactor System Maintenance: Ensuring smooth functioning of reactor-related equipment such as heaters, controllers, sensors, valves, and interlocks. Performing scheduled checks on reactor electrical and control systems and assisting the process team during breakdowns. - Utility Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine servicing and maintenance of chillers, air/CO compressors, vacuum pumps, and other equipment. Monitoring utility equipment health and performance using checklist-based systems. - Pump and Motor Maintenance: Conducting regular checks and overhauls of centrifugal, gear, and diaphragm pumps. Replacing bearings, seals, or electrical windings as needed. - Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining proper maintenance records, checklists, breakdown reports, and logbooks. - Safety & Compliance: Following electrical safety procedures, LockoutTagout (LOTO), and arc flash protection norms. Ensuring compliance with electrical and utility maintenance-related statutory requirements. To be successful in this role, you should have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and possess 3 to 5 years of experience in plant maintenance in chemical/manufacturing industries.
