Our Innovation, Data, and Analytics (IDA) organization is focused on driving innovation by optimizing how we leverage data to drive strategy and create a new business model - disrupting the insurance market. This role is part of the Digital Data Dev Division within the Digital Transformation vertical of IDA and will be responsible for different aspects of Data Product development lifecycle activities, including but not limited to Data Production Support, business stakeholders engagement for usage & problem resolutions, Product migrations, and platform/data product rollouts, performance stability & reliability. What You'll Be DOING
What will your essential responsibilities include
- DATA SOLUTIONS EXPERTISE: Provide technical and functional support for enterprise data solutions, including troubleshooting, issue triage, root-cause analysis, validation, and remediation across data pipelines, models, and reporting layers owned by the IDA organization.
- RISK ASSESSMENT AND MITIGATION: Identify and quantify technical and delivery risks to data solution projects (timelines, quality, stability, performance). Apply risk mitigation strategies and ensure production readiness by following engineering best practices and standards.
- OWNERSHIP AND ISSUE MANAGEMENT: Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of issues from detection and reporting through investigation, resolution, verification, and closure. Maintain clear ownership and accountability for timely remediation and communication.
- PRODUCTION SUPPORT AND SERVICE DELIVERY: Deliver high-quality production support and manage service levels to meet or exceed defined SLAs. Develop and maintain runbooks, support processes, and proactive monitoring to sustain service reliability.
- CLOUD MIGRATION SME AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION: Act as Application/Data/Technical Subject Matter Expert for the migration or re-architecture of product functionalities to the new Cloud Platform. Partner with Product teams to plan, design, and execute migrations and cloud-based improvements.
- STAKEHOLDER COMMUNICATION AND BUSINESS IMPACT TRANSLATION: Communicate proactively with Business users, Development, Technology, Support, Delivery Teams, and Senior Management. Translate technical status and risks into clear business impact and action plans.
- TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP AND SME FOR END USERS: Provide technical leadership to production support resources and serve as the SME for end-user inquiries and issues. Mentor teammates to improve support quality and knowledge sharing.
- OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT OF PRODUCT SUPPORT: Oversee day-to-day management of product support services to ensure stable and efficient operation of production systems. Drive continuous improvements in processes and performance metrics.
- GLOBAL COVERAGE AND CROSS-TEAM SUPPORT (FOLLOW THE SUN): Implement and participate in a Follow-the-Sun support model, ensuring cross-team coverage across Digital Data Dev responsibilities. Coordinate handoffs and communications across time zones to maintain seamless service.
- MONITORING AND HEALTH MANAGEMENT: Monitor critical processes and health metrics (performance and functional) across production and pre-production environments. Interpret dashboards and logs to detect anomalies and drive timely corrective actions.
- CHANGE AND UPGRADE GOVERNANCE: Monitor routine system configuration changes and upgrades, ensuring proper change control and minimal production impact. Coordinate change activities with relevant stakeholders and verify successful implementation.
- DOCUMENTATION AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: Develop and maintain comprehensive system support documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures. Capture learnings and drive process improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- AVAILABILITY, CONTINUITY, AND DR/BC READINESS: Ensure application availability aligns with target SLAs and participate in Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises. Contribute to resilience planning and regular testing of recovery capabilities.
- POLICY, STANDARDS, AND COMPLIANCE: Ensure adherence to organizational policies, standards, and best practices. Keep documentation and practices up to date with evolving guidelines.
- EMERGENCY FIXES AND AUDITABLE CHANGE EXECUTION: Deliver emergency production fixes in a timely, auditable, testable, and maintainable manner. Verify fixes align with solution design and business specifications, and perform post-implementation validation.
- SOLUTION DESIGN ALIGNMENT: Ensure fixes and changes are consistent with the overall solution design and business requirements. Conduct impact analysis and validate alignment with architectural guidance.
- CUSTOMER CONFIDENCE AND SATISFACTION: Strive to achieve and sustain high levels of business customer confidence and Net Promoter Score (NPS) through reliable, transparent service delivery. Use feedback to drive improvements in service quality and user experience.

- Business & Insurance Acumen Outstanding understanding of business and insurance domains, including risk assessment, regulatory considerations, and how business decisions impact risk and costs.
- Digital Literacy Comfortable with digital technologies, data-driven decision making, and the use of analytics tools to inform business outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management Ability to influence, collaborate, and manage stakeholders across functions; build trust, set clear expectations, and communicate status and trade-offs effectively.
- System Administration & Platform Support: Expertise in handling admin or support for Linux and Windows-based applications. Experience in installation or upgrades of applications along with maintaining necessary security aspects.
- Cloud Foundations & Security: Good grasp of Azure fundamentals (AZ-900) and Elastic ELK (Logging and Monitoring). Understanding of cloud security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance standards.
- Cloud Services & Networking: Understanding of cloud services such as compute, storage, databases, and networking. Knowledge of virtual networks, load balancers, firewalls, and VPNs within cloud environments.
- Observability & Monitoring: Skills in using monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Azure Monitor.
- Backup, DR & Resilience: Implementing/executing backup strategies and disaster recovery plans specific to cloud environments. Participate in BC/DR exercises and resilience planning.
- Automation, Scripting & DevOps: Skills in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks. Experience/Understanding of systems integration, and developer support tools Azure DevOps, CICD pipelines, Release Management, Configuration Management, Automation. Good understanding of DevOps tools like Harness.
- Architecture & Microservices: Understanding of Microservice-based architecture. Experience/knowledge of Microservices, .Net, R Programming Language, Python, Azure, and Kibana. Robust fundamentals in C#, OOP concepts, .NET Core and JavaScript.
- Programming Languages & Data Tools: Knowledge of R Programming Language or Python is a plus. Experience with SQL, Hive, ADLS, Document Databases, SQL Databases & SQL DW Analytics. Data Engineering background or working experience with ETL, Big data platforms (HDInsight / ADLS / Data Bricks) is a plus.
- Software Development & Delivery: Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira. Experience with multiple software delivery models (Waterfall, Agile) is a plus.
- Education & Experience: A minimum of an Undergraduate University Degree in Computer Science or related fields. Extensive experience in Data-focused roles (analytics, specialist, or engineer) and relevant years of experience in Data operations, management, or support.
- Technical Leadership & Influence: Demonstrates the ability to influence and understand business problems in technical terminology and liaise with staff at all levels. Thought leader in implementing best practices in Production Support.
- Security & Compliance in Practice: Experience with maintaining necessary security aspects during installation, upgrades, and operations.
