Role Summary: The Underwriter Assistant supports Branch Underwriters by maintaining customer relationships through timely and accurate service Acts as a liaison among Branch Underwriter, Policy Servicing Team, Insurance Carriers, and Insurance Brokers via phone and email Must have solid understanding of insurance lifecycle and experience across at least 3 insurance processes Primary Responsibilities: Coordinate and collect information from stakeholders required for underwriting and policy binding Bind policies in Carrier and Agency Management Systems, invoice, and deliver to clients Follow up on bind requests, missing information, and implementation of inspection recommendations Ensure all documentation is in place for policy servicing teams Communicate with stakeholders via email and inbound/outbound calls Update and maintain compliance with Surplus Lines (SL) affidavit requirements Triage endorsements and cancellations Handle miscellaneous activities that do not require underwriting decision-making Requirements: Graduate with 3+ years of experience in the insurance domain (Property & Casualty) Experience in Surplus Lines, MGA, or with Insurance Brokers preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Flexible, proactive, and customer-focused Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and ability to handle escalations Skilled in multitasking and prioritization Must be open to night shifts (India time)
