Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with strong expertise in Tally to manage financial transactions, bookkeeping, and compliance. The ideal candidate should have experience in handling accounts, taxation, and financial reporting while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Accounting & Financial Management Maintain and update accounts in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime. Record and verify day-to-day financial transactions. Prepare financial statements, ledgers, and balance sheets. Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow. Track daily expenses. Maintain Forecast vs Actual 2. Taxation & Compliance Handle GST filing, TDS, and other statutory compliances. Prepare and file income tax returns and audit reports. Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations. 3. Invoicing & Payments Generate and process invoices, receipts, and payments. Maintain accounts payable and receivable records. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and clients for payments. 4. MIS Reporting & Analysis Generate financial reports and assist in budgeting & forecasting. Conduct variance analysis and highlight financial trends. Assist management with cost control and profitability analysis. 5. Inventory & Payroll Management (If applicable) Manage inventory accounting and stock reconciliation. Process payroll, salary calculations, and employee reimbursements.
1. Finance Process Development and Implementation Design and implement standardized finance processes across sales, ordering, accounting, procurement, inventory, and operational areas. Establish workflows to improve efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in financial transactions. Develop policies and procedures for financial approvals, ensuring consistency across departments. Utilize technology solutions (e.g., ERP systems) to automate and streamline finance processes. 2. Tax, Governance and Control Implement governance frameworks to monitor adherence to financial policies and procedures. Develop and enforce approval hierarchies for financial decisions, budgets, and expenditures. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as tax laws, statutory filing, financial reporting standards, and industry-specific guidelines. Responsible for GST, TDS, PF, ESI and any tax compliance filing. 3. Sales and Order Management Collaborate with sales and order management teams to establish pricing, billing, and credit approval processes. Ensure timely invoicing, payment collection, and revenue reconciliation. Role & responsibilities Monitor outstanding payments and develop strategies to reduce receivable cycles. 4. Accounting and Financial Reporting Oversee accounting activities, including ledger management, financial reconciliations, and month-end closings. Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP). Provide actionable insights to senior management through financial analysis and reporting. 5. Procurement and Inventory Control Work with the procurement team to establish cost control measures, vendor payment terms, and approval mechanisms. Set Re-ordering levels across all the products based on sales pattern GRN process and Item movement analysis of products purchased vs sold Oversee inventory valuation, stock movement tracking, and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis. Ensure accurate recording of inventory and purchase transactions in the accounting system. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with operations, sales, and logistics teams to ensure seamless integration of finance processes across departments. Provide financial guidance for decision-making in production planning, stock management, and sales strategies. Act as the finance point of contact for interdepartmental projects and initiatives. 7. Governance Approvals Approve budgets, purchase orders, and major financial commitments, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Monitor deviations from approved budgets and escalate concerns to senior management. Ensure all financial transactions are properly authorized and documented. 8. Training and Development Train staff on financial policies, processes, and tools to ensure compliance and efficiency. Promote a culture of financial discipline and accountability across the organization. Educational Requirements Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or professional certifications like CMA, CA or CPA would be a add-on).
