Embedded Hardware Engineer

Job Title: Senior Hardware Project Manager Location: Hyderabad, IndiaRole & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Leadership: Direct and manage all phases of the hardware product development lifecycle for multiple complex projects simultaneously, from initial concept and scoping through design, validation, and transition to mass production.

• Cross-Functional Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate a diverse team of electronics, firmware, mechanical, and validation engineers, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.

• Scope, Schedule, and Budget Management: Define project scope, deliverables, and success metrics. Develop and meticulously track detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure targets are met.

• Supply Chain & Manufacturing Oversight: Work closely with supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing teams to manage component sourcing, vendor relationships, and production readiness. Ensure a smooth and efficient transition from development to manufacturing.

• Risk Management: Proactively identify potential project risks related to technical challenges, schedule delays, resource constraints, or supply chain disruptions. Develop and implement effective mitigation and contingency plans in a timely manner.

• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project status. Clearly and consistently communicate with all stakeholders, including senior leadership, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and milestones.

• Quality and Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of product quality, ensuring that all deliverables meet technical specifications and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience: 12 to 15 years of progressive experience in hardware project management.

• Proven Success: A demonstrated track record of successfully managing and delivering more than 5 large and complex hardware projects from concept to market.

• Technical Acumen: Strong foundational knowledge and understanding of Electronics, Firmware, and Mechanical engineering principles, development and manufacturing processes.

• Supply Chain Expertise: In-depth understanding of supply chain management, component sourcing, manufacturing processes, and production ramp-up.

• Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification is mandatory.

• Skills:

• Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities.

• Mastery of project management methodologies and tools (Microsoft Projects, Jira or similar)

• Excellent risk identification, assessment, and mitigation skills.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Educational Background

• Bachelors degree in Electronics, or Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field is required.

• A Master's degree is a plus.
