Embedded C++/Linux Developer

As a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in media stack development and video streaming technologies, your role will involve reviewing product requirements, designing technical solutions, developing core components, and ensuring product quality through robust testing and automation. You are expected to be a hands-on technologist with strong knowledge of C/C++, media frameworks, and digital rights management (DRM), capable of driving end-to-end feature development and collaborating across teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Contribute to reviewing product requirements and creating technical requirements. - Design and architect new products, understand and improve existing software. - Create prototypes, design documents, and technical tasks, suggest implementation plans. - Develop core components, conduct code reviews to ensure implementation aligns with the design. - Develop tools to measure product quality and identify defects automatically. - Within 3 months, you will be able to triage bugs and implement feature details through collaboration with other teams. - Within 6 months, you will understand media stack architecture in detail and identify necessary improvements for a better user experience. - Within 1 year, you will become a feature owner driving the development of new features. **Qualifications Required:** - 6+ years of experience in architecture & design, prototyping, software development & implementation plan, code review, and unit testing for consumer electronic devices. - Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent field. - Proficiency in C, C++/C++11, JavaScript, and JSON. - Experience in developing media pipeline stacks and video streaming technologies (DASH, HLS, Progressive Download, etc). - Familiarity with Digital Rights Management (Widevine/Playready/FairPlay) and Secure Media Pipeline. - Knowledge of audio/video formats (H264, HEVC, mp4, CMAF, MPEG2-TS, HDR, Dolby Vision, etc). - Experience in Media frameworks such as Gstreamer, FFMPEG. - Proficiency in multi-threaded programming & Inter-process communication. - Strong communication and problem-solving skills. - Self-motivated, proactive, and a good team player. **About GlobalLogic:** GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, is a trusted digital engineering partner known for collaborating with the world's largest and most forward-thinking companies.
