Embedded C++/Linux Developer

You are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer / Media Stack Engineer with 6+ years of experience in architecture, design, prototyping, development, and implementation of software for consumer electronic devices. The ideal candidate should be strong in multimedia technologies, system-level programming, and performance-driven development. **Key Responsibilities:** - Review product requirements and translate them into clear, actionable technical requirements. - Design and architect new features and products while contributing to improvements in existing systems. - Develop prototypes, write design documents, break down technical tasks, and propose effective implementation plans. - Develop core software components, conduct high-quality code reviews, and ensure adherence to architecture and design standards. - Build automation tools to measure product quality and identify defects efficiently. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field. - Strong programming expertise in C, C++/C++11/14/17, and familiarity with JavaScript and JSON. - Hands-on experience building media pipeline stacks and working with video streaming technologies such as DASH, HLS, and Progressive Download. - Practical knowledge of Digital Rights Management systems (e.g., Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay) and secure media pipelines. - Solid understanding of audio/video formats, including H.264, HEVC, MP4, CMAF, MPEG2-TS, HDR, Dolby Vision, etc. - Experience working with media frameworks such as GStreamer and FFmpeg. - Strong background in multi-threaded programming and inter-process communication (IPC). - Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. - Self-driven, proactive, and a strong team collaborator. **About GlobalLogic:** GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, is a trusted digital engineering partner to the world's largest and most forward-thinking companies.
