As an Embedded Systems Architect specializing in communication and network protocols, you will play a crucial role in leading the architectural design of embedded systems. Your responsibilities will involve designing and implementing protocols for wireless and wired communication, optimizing embedded software for network communication efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for defining protocol specifications, implementing error handling and security mechanisms, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the architectural design of embedded systems focusing on communication and network protocols - Design and implement protocols for wireless and wired communication including TCP/IP, MQTT, CoAP, Zigbee, Bluetooth, and other relevant standards - Develop and optimize embedded software for efficient network communication - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions - Define protocol specifications, interface definitions, and communication standards - Implement error handling, security mechanisms, and encryption for data transmission - Ensure compliance with communication protocol standards in industries such as automotive, IoT, telecommunications, and healthcare - Perform detailed design, simulation, and testing of communication protocols and network interfaces - Continuously assess and recommend improvements for enhanced communication system performance, reliability, and security - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers in embedded systems design and network protocols Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field - Minimum of 15+ years of experience as an Embedded Systems Architect specializing in communication and network protocols - Expertise in communication protocols like TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT, CDA, CoAP, Zigbee, Bluetooth, and other relevant standards - Proficiency in embedded programming languages such as C and C++ - Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and their role in network communication - Experience in wireless communication technologies like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Zigbee, and LoRa - Understanding of network layer technologies, routing algorithms, and packet analysis - Knowledge of network security protocols such as SSL/TLS, IPSec, and encryption algorithms used in embedded systems - Strong debugging and optimization skills, particularly in low-level embedded systems and network communication - Familiarity with network analysis tools like Wireshark, TCPDump, and other relevant tools - Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and version control systems (e.g., Git) Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with embedded Linux or other advanced OS used in networking applications - Familiarity with IP-based communication and IoT protocols for smart devices and cloud connectivity - Experience with network simulation tools like NS2, NS3, OMNeT++ - Understanding of QoS mechanisms and traffic prioritization in embedded systems - Experience with wireless mesh networks or 5G communication protocols Please note that the above qualifications and responsibilities are indicative and may vary based on the specific requirements of the position.,
