Job Title: ELV Designer Location: Chennai Company: Enseigner Private Limited Experience: 1-2 years Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ELV Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and drafting Extra Low Voltage systems including CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Public Address, BGM, Structured Cabling, and other integrated building systems. The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience in AutoCAD or Revit, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including consultants, engineers, and site teams. Key Responsibilities: Design and prepare layout drawings for ELV systems (CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, PA system, Data Networking, IPTV, etc.) Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, and project teams to ensure ELV systems meet project specifications and timelines. Conduct site visits, surveys, and assessments as required. Prepare shop drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), and detailed cable routing plans. Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and client requirements. Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ) and assist in technical documentation for project tenders. Provide technical support to the project team during installation and commissioning stages. Participate in design review meetings and provide input for system optimization and cost-efficiency. Required Skills and Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 1 years of experience in ELV system design. Proficiency in AutoCAD , Revit , and MS Office. Strong knowledge of ELV systems such as CCTV, Fire Alarm, Access Control, and Structured Cabling. Familiarity with international standards like NFPA, BS, EN, and local authority regulations. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in BIM modelling (Revit). Previous experience working with consultants or contractors in large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects. Certification in Fire Alarm or Security Systems is a plus.
