ELK Stack Engineer

Role Overview: As an ELK Stack Engineer (Elasticsearch / Logstash / Kibana Engineer) in Mumbai, you will be responsible for developing Logstash pipelines, tuning pipeline performance, and scaling large Logstash deployments. You will also need to have a deep understanding of network protocols and security fundamentals, along with expertise in Elasticsearch architecture and Kibana alerting. Additionally, familiarity with Linux administration, scripting, and monitoring tools will be essential for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Develop Logstash pipelines with filters, conditionals, and multiple outputs. - Tune pipeline performance and scale large Logstash deployments. - Understand network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, HTTP) and network security fundamentals. - Collect SNMP-based data using Logstash or custom integrations. - Manage Elasticsearch architecture, index, shards/replicas, and optimize queries. - Create alerts using Kibana Alerting and Watcher. - Utilize Kibana dashboards and visualizations for log and metric analysis. - Onboard multiple data sources into ELK, including operating systems logs, databases, network devices, and storage systems. - Troubleshoot issues effectively and maintain detailed documentation. Qualifications Required: - Strong hands-on experience in Logstash pipeline development. - Proven expertise in pipeline performance tuning and scaling large Logstash deployments. - Deep understanding of network protocols and security fundamentals. - Experience in Elasticsearch architecture and query optimization. - Knowledge of Kibana alerting and dashboard creation. - Familiarity with Linux administration, scripting, and monitoring tools. - Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
