Role & responsibilities 1.1 Production & Operations Management Supervise daily manufacturing operations for EV chargers and related assemblies (AC/DC units, controllers, cabinets). Ensure adherence to production schedules, output targets, and quality benchmarks. Monitor shop floor performance metrics (OEE, productivity, downtime). 1.2 Quality & Compliance Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC standards relevant to EV equipment (e.g., IEC 61851, ISO 9001). Drive root cause analysis and corrective action for defects or field failures. Support external audits and customer inspections. 1.3 People Management Lead and mentor supervisors, engineers, and operators. Drive workforce planning, shift management, and skill development initiatives. 1.4 Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen practices to improve throughput and reduce waste. Lead continuous improvement and production engineering initiatives in our manufacturing facility. You'll define and track KPIs, diagnose operational issues using statistical tools, coach teams on improvement techniques, lead projects to enhance efficiency and quality, and ensure sustained achievement across operations and production engineering. 3 Responsibilities Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: Define, deploy, monitor, and report KPIs for the operations center. Break down performance targets into clear, actionable initiatives and drive closure. Use statistical tools (e.g., DMAIC, Six Sigma) to identify process bottlenecks and quality issues. Initiate, lead, and close systematic improvement projects across production operations. Develop control plans to maintain gains and ensure compliance Apply Lean principles (line balancing, takt time optimization, value-stream mapping, cycle-time reduction. Perform value-chain analysis to identify and eliminate nonvalue-add activities. Mentor and guide relevant stakeholders on Lean Six Sigma and other improvement methodologies. Identify training needs; liaise with Operations Head for approvals and rollout. Work closely with process engineers, maintenance teams, IS/IT, and external agencies. Support product launch (NPI/TPI), CAB reviews, and production maintenance planning. Implement and monitor maintenance routines, including calibration schedules for equipment. Ensure 5S deployment and adherence to ISO & internal standards throughout operations. 4 Qualifications B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Industrial Engineering or related field. 1015 experience in Electronic Component/Electronics manufacturing/ Auto Component, with at least 35 years in a supervisory/managerial role. 5+ years in process excellence, production engineering, or manufacturing operationsideal exposure to auto or EV sector. 5 Competencies Experience working with KPIs, control plans, statistical analysis, and OEE. Familiarity with EV-specific manufacturing processes (e.g., battery assembly, cell manufacturing). Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder managementproficient in English. Data-driven and results-oriented, with the ability to handle and resolve conflicts.
