Electrical Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Maintenance Electrician to handle electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and breakdown activities for plant machinery and electrical systems. The candidate should ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and follow all electrical safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in machines, motors, control panels, and industrial equipment.
• Maintain and repair electrical motors, contactors, relays, MCBs, MCCBs, and circuit breakers.
• Inspect and maintain electrical panels, distribution boards, and power supply systems.
• Work on industrial wiring, cable laying, termination, and electrical connections.
• Diagnose faults in sensors, limit switches, proximity switches, and control circuits.
• Assist in maintenance of PLC-controlled machinery and VFD/drive systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and monitor equipment performance.
• Maintain electrical maintenance records, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance checklists.
• Coordinate with production and mechanical maintenance teams to minimize machine downtime.
• Follow electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and permit-to-work requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and 5S practices.

Required Qualifications

• ITI in Electrician trade or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 25 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control circuits.
• Hands-on experience with motors, starters, control panels, and industrial electrical systems.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults and perform preventive maintenance.
• Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
