Job Description

As a Site Engineer for Electrical Panel Installation & Commissioning, your role involves overseeing and executing the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical panels at client sites. You will need to have hands-on experience in managing site activities, coordinating with clients, supervising manpower, and ensuring timely and quality project execution. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise installation, termination, and commissioning of LT/HT panels, MCC, PCC, APFC, control panels, and DBs at the site. - Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), and general arrangement (GA) drawings. - Coordinate with the design and production teams to ensure accurate installation and resolve technical issues. - Conduct site surveys and prepare installation plans based on layout and client requirements. - Manage cable laying, glanding, termination, and routing at the site. - Ensure testing of panels and systems including insulation resistance, continuity, and functional testing. - Prepare and maintain site progress reports, installation checklists, and handover documents. - Interact with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth execution of work. - Ensure all site activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards. - Supervise subcontractors, electricians, and labor to maintain work schedules and quality. Qualification Required: - Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. - Experience: 25 years in site execution related to electrical panel installation and commissioning. Technical Skills: - Strong understanding of electrical panels and components. - Hands-on experience in electrical wiring, cable management, and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with testing instruments like megger, multimeter, etc. - Knowledge of electrical safety and statutory norms. Other Skills: - Good communication and leadership skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. - Willingness to travel and stay at project sites as required. If you possess experience in handling industrial/commercial electrical projects and familiarity with automation/control panel systems (PLC/SCADA-based), along with a valid driving license (if site mobility is required), it would be considered as preferred qualifications.
