Electrical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Project Planning & Design Coordination

• Review and validate electrical drawings and BOQ shared by consultants/vendors.
  
• Coordinate with architects, civil, and MEP teams to ensure alignment with electrical plans.
  
• Assist in planning power distribution, lighting, earthing, and ELV systems.
  

• Site Execution & Supervision

• Monitor electrical installations and ensure execution as per approved drawings/specifications.
  
• Supervise subcontractors/vendors and ensure timely completion of electrical works.
  
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and statutory compliance at the site.
  

• Vendor & Material Management

• Coordinate with procurement for timely delivery of electrical materials.
  
• Evaluate and approve vendor quotations, technical specifications, and mockups.
  
• Conduct quality checks for materials before installation.
  

• Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Oversee pre-commissioning and final testing of electrical systems like transformers, panels, DG, fire alarms, and lifts.
  
• Coordinate with DISCOMs and government bodies for statutory inspections.
  
• Prepare handover documentation and support site transition to the Facility Management team.
  

• Cost & Progress Monitoring

• Monitor and control project budget related to electrical scope.
  
• Track work progress and report to Project Manager or HeadEngineering.
  
• Certify contractor bills and variation claims.
  

• Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with IS standards, National Building Code, and local electricity board norms.
  
• Maintain updated documentation for inspections, approvals, drawings, and test certificates.
