Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute

  electrical installation and erection activities

  at 220kV and 400kV substation sites.
• Supervise execution of

  primary equipment

  , including:
• Power Transformers, Auxiliary Transformers
  
• Circuit Breakers, Isolators, CT/PT, Surge Arrestors
  
• Busbars, Clamps, Connectors, Insulators, Gantry Structures
  
• Earthing Grid & Lightning Protection Systems
  
• Oversee

  secondary system execution

  , including:
• Control & Relay Panel installation
  
• Protection & control cable laying, glanding, termination
  
• Marshalling box wiring, inter-panel control wiring
  
• Substation Automation System (SAS) panel integration
  
• Support site testing teams during:
  
• Equipment IR testing, HV testing, relay testing, control wiring checks
  
• Protection relay setting and verification (coordination role)
  
• Manage

  shutdown and permit procedures

  for live yard execution.
• Coordinate with

  civil, testing, vendor, and client teams

  for seamless execution.
• Ensure strict compliance with

  EHS, PPE, PTW, LOTO, and live-yard safety protocols

  .
• Track progress, prepare

  Daily Progress Reports (DPR), checklists, and material reconciliation

  .
• Validate drawings and execution deliverables:
  
• SLD, Equipment Layout, Earthing Layout, Cable Schedules, BOQ
  
• Ensure

  quality inspections, site readiness, pre-commissioning and handover support

  .

Must-Have Skills

• Mandatory site execution experience

  in 220kV & 400kV substations
• Strong knowledge of

  AIS/GIS, transformer erection, control wiring, busbar work

• Experience in

  cable termination and panel installation

• Hands-on exposure to

  shutdown handling and live switchyard safety

• Ability to read and execute based on

  SLD, GA, cable schedules, and switchyard drawings

• Vendor & contractor management at site
