Electrical Design Engineer ( Autocad )

As an Electrical Design Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN to design and create electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams for industrial automation and power systems. Your role will involve interpreting technical specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant electrical standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality design documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and cable routing using AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN. - Interpret technical specifications and customer requirements to create detailed electrical designs. - Prepare and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials), loop diagrams, terminal diagrams, and other related documentation. - Ensure designs comply with IEC, NEC, UL, or other relevant standards. - Coordinate with mechanical, software, and project teams to ensure seamless design integration. - Revise and update existing electrical drawings and documentation as necessary. - Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and provide testing support. - Offer technical assistance to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams. - Manage project schedules and deliver accurate documentation within specified deadlines. - Contribute to the enhancement of electrical design processes and standards. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, along with 3 years of experience in AutoCAD and 1 year in EPLAN. The work location is in person at Chennai.
