Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Assembly Fitter – Automation IndustryJob Summary

The Electrical Assembly Fitter is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels and automation systems used in industrial automation projects, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire industrial automation control panels, PLC panels, VFD panels, MCCs, and junction boxes
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, GA drawings, wiring diagrams, and I/O lists
  • Perform panel wiring including power, control, and signal wiring
  • Mount and wire components such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, relays, contactors, MCBs, sensors, and terminal blocks
  • Execute cable dressing, ferruling, crimping, and labeling as per standards
  • Conduct continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, and basic panel testing
  • Support panel FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and resolve wiring issues
  • Ensure compliance with industrial standards and safety norms
  • Maintain documentation, checklists, and daily work records
  • Coordinate with design, quality, and commissioning teams

Qualifications

  • ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Automation
  • 2–5 years of experience in automation panel wiring or electrical assembly

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of industrial automation components and control systems
  • Proficient in reading electrical drawings and automation schematics
  • Hands-on experience with tools and test instruments (multimeter, megger)
  • Knowledge of panel wiring standards and best practices
  • High attention to detail and quality
  • Awareness of electrical safety and EHS practices

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing / panel shop environment
  • May involve shift work and tight project deadlines

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

  • Experience with PLC-based systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.)
  • Familiarity with industrial communication basics (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP)
  • Exposure to FAT, SAT, and site commissioning support

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
