They often work closely with marketing teams to develop effective lead generation strategies ✔ Building relationships: BDMs establish and maintain relationships with prospective clients, partners, and key stakeholders This includes networking, attending industry events, and engaging in business meetings to understand client needs and present the company's products or services ✔Sales and negotiation: BDMs are responsible for managing the sales process, including identifying opportunities, qualifying leads, and negotiating contracts. They collaborate with sales teams to ensure a smooth transition from lead generation to closing deals ✔Strategic planning: BDMs develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives They analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and growth ✔ Proposal development: BDMs prepare and deliver persuasive proposals and presentations to potential clients.
