Description : The role is responsible for High Voltage Flame proof Battery Power Pack Development for Mining Machines, Lead of Electric Vehicle Powertrain development Education: B Tech/M Tech Mechanical / Automobile / Mechatronics / Electrical / Electronics Core Skills: 1. HV Battery pack development 2. Cell chemistries 3. Cell & Pack Certification 4. Electric powertrain integration 5. Thermal management system for HV battery pack 6. Charger development 7. Electrical and Electronics Systems Working Knowledge: 1. Experience in Mining, Heavy Commercial vehicle, Construction equipments R&D, with a proven track record of leading successful projects from concept to implementation of Gearbox/Drivetrain, EV Motor projects. 2. Strong knowledge of Electric Drivetrain systems, EV Motor Mechanical components, and emerging technologies. 3. Experience in Cell / battery pack / EV aggregate development, Detailed knowledge of all global battery cell / pack tests standards, Knowledge & experience on testing activity, test setup development. 4. Experience as team lead with battery test bench development, establishing communications between VCU, BMS, and battery testing equipment. 5. Detailed Knowledge about battery tests equipment handling and safety procedures. 6. Knowledge of cell technologies, pack design, BMS strategy, HV/LV architecture. 7. Knowledge of safety protocols to be followed during pack design, cell packaging in module / pack. 8. Awareness about battery pack recycling, 2nd life usage. 9. Detailed knowledge about cell chemistry, manufacturing process, cell behaviour, new technology trends, cell analysis, cell failures. 10. Knowledge of Electric system (E-Drive, DC-DC, OBC, PDU, Battery, etc.), BEV HV and LV wiring, fuse, connectors, etc. 11. Knowledge of 2D drawings, Schematics and Routing, PLM Knowledge is added advantage. 12. Component selection, Database library, Design Release Process 13. Hands on embedded system, Auto-code generation and V&V process, CAN communication protocol and validation 14. Knowledge of Electronics control module like ECM, ECU, Diagnosis, Functional safety & DFMEA, UDS 15. Experience in designing transmission components as Gears, Shafts, Bearings, Differential sizing, Driveshaft, Axle, Clutch and shifting components and validating the same. 16. Transmission calculation as Tractive effort diagram, Gear ratios selection for vehicle level requirements, Bearing sizing, Gears, and shaft strength calculations. 17. EV Motor mechanical components design, Powertrain integration, Motor Shafts, bearings and sealing selection for IP67 requirements, Motor housing design, CAE/CFD and NVH results interpretation and design input. Ability to make EV Powertrain layout, resolving integration related issue and strong understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFS. Coordination with different stakeholders as Vehicle team, EEE, Component Development, Production, Service. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead / Develop plan for battery pack development projects, EV powertrain 2. Lead Vehicle development project independently 3. Lead activity with suppliers, Approve / review reports, green reports release, DGMS & BIS certification activities 4. Test plan creation / reviews and work with suppliers. 5. Review / validate Charger, BTMS, BMS functionalities including SOC, SOH, contactor operation, battery protection limits and generate report. 6. Lead / Perform and troubleshoot testing of battery pack in lab and at vehicle level. 7. Support development of battery pack from electrical domain perspective, architecture, wiring harness, vehicle interface, failure analysis 8. Requirement generation for Electrical & power electronics components, wiring harness, HCU, Sensors/actuators electrical architecture etc. 9. Ensuring Electrical Component requirement validation as per timelines and without any issues 10. Self-initiatives for discussion with CFTs for issue resolution Contribution to planning - Daily work management - Time management for different projects with scalability & modularity approach - Timely delivery of gateway deliverables
