Job Description

The EHS & Audit/Compliance Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety (EHS) systems and ensuring operational compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and statutory guidelines. The role includes coordinating internal and external audits, tracking corrective actions, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement in safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, local laws).
  • Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and incident investigations.
  • tool-box talks, and employee awareness programs.
  • Maintain EHS-related records, permits, and documentation.
  • Manage emergency preparedness plans.

2. Audit & Compliance Coordination

  • Plan, schedule, and execute internal audits for EHS and compliance processes.
  • Act as liaison during external audits and inspections (governmental and third-party).
  • Track and follow up on audit findings, non-conformities, and ensure timely closure.
  • Ensure all departments maintain required certifications and licenses (ISO, etc.).
  • Maintain and update compliance matrix and registers.

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain records of safety training, audits, permits, risk assessments, and compliance checklists.
  • Prepare periodic reports for leadership on EHS KPIs, audit findings, and compliance status.
  • Ensure all EHS and audit records are in line with company policy and regulatory requirements.

4. Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and deliver training programs on safety awareness and compliance protocols.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement in risk management.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

  • 3 years of relevant experience in EHS and/or compliance roles.
  • Experience in conducting audits and managing regulatory compliance.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
