Job Overview: The Plant Head will be the senior leader responsible for the overall performance of the latex gloves manufacturing unit. This role covers production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, health & safety, and workforce management. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in latex dipping technology, operational excellence . The main objectives are to meet production targets, deliver world-class quality, ensure cost efficiency, and comply with all applicable standards. Key Responsibilities 1. Production & Operations Management · Lead end-to-end manufacturing: compounding, former cleaning, dipping, leaching, vulcanization, stripping, and packaging. · Plan and execute production schedules to meet delivery timelines and sales forecasts. · Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement programs. · Drive cost optimization, waste reduction, and process excellence. 2. Quality & Regulatory Compliance · Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS). · Oversee audits (internal, external, customer, and regulatory) and ensure timely closure of findings. · Enforce EHS and sustainability compliance. 3. Maintenance & Engineering · Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of all plant equipment. · Minimize downtime through proactive engineering and quick fault resolution. · Implement automation and engineering upgrades for efficiency. 4. Quality Control & Testing · Oversee raw material testing, in-process checks, and finished goods inspection as per ASTM, ISO, and EN standards. · Ensure compliance with AQL, protein content, biocompatibility, and sterility requirements. · Investigate and resolve deviations, complaints, and non-conformities with QC/QA teams. 5. People & Leadership · Lead and motivate cross-functional teams (Production, QA/QC, Engineering, EHS, Supply Chain). · Build technical capabilities through structured training and GMP awareness. · Drive employee engagement, discipline, and career development. 6. Supply Chain & Customer Orientation · Oversee raw material sourcing, vendor qualification, and supplier audits. · Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods to meet customer requirements. · Collaborate with sales and marketing to align plant output with market demand. Qualifications & Experience · Education: Bachelor’s in Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering. MBA preferred. · Experience: 15–20 years in manufacturing with at least 8–10 years in latex dipping plants (gloves, condoms, balloons, etc.). · Technical Expertise: Latex compounding, dipping line operations, vulcanization, leaching, utilities, and latex product quality testing.
