QC Manager – Drug/Pharma Testing Laboratory Job Description: QC Manager – Drug/Pharma Testing Laboratory Company: Edward Food Research & Analysis Centre Ltd. (EFRAC) Location: Kolkata (Barasat) Experience: 10+ years in pharmaceutical or analytical testing laboratories Role Summary: Lead the Quality Control (QC) operations of EFRAC’s Drug/Pharma Testing Laboratory. Ensure analytical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to ISO 17025, GLP, and CDSCO guidelines. Oversee method validation, instrument performance (HPLC, GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS), and data integrity across all testing processes. Key Responsibilities: Supervise QC team, review analytical data, manage OOS/OOT results, and implement CAPA. Maintain documentation, SOPs, method validation records, and audit readiness. Ensure compliance with ISO 17025, NABL, and drug regulatory standards. Drive continuous improvement, training, and cross-functional coordination. Candidate Profile: B.Sc/M.Sc. in Chemistry/Bio Technology /B.Pharm/ M.Pharm, Pharmaceutical or Analytical Sciences. Minimum 10 years’ QC experience in a drug or analytical testing environment. Strong knowledge of instrumentation, method validation, and regulatory audits. Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. (EFRAC) Job Overview: EFRAC is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager / Assistant Manager to lead and strengthen its QA systems within the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry. The role involves ensuring compliance with international quality standards, managing audits, driving continual improvement, and upholding the highest levels of quality and reliability across all laboratory operations. Key Responsibilities: ISO Compliance: Ensure adherence to ISO 17025 (Testing & Calibration Laboratories) and ISO 9001:2017 (Quality Management Systems). Audit Management: Lead internal and external audits, coordinate with regulatory bodies, and ensure timely closure of findings. SOP Management: Develop, review, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures across testing, inspection, and certification activities. CAPA: Initiate and oversee Corrective and Preventive Actions for non-conformances and audit findings. LIR & OOS Handling: Manage Laboratory Incident Reports (LIRs) and Out-of-Specification (OOS) results, ensuring effective investigation and documentation. GLP Compliance: Ensure operations follow Good Laboratory Practices, maintaining traceability and data integrity. Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with applicable national and international regulations to ensure full compliance.
