HIRING: Our client, a prominent player in the Edible Oil sector, and a group company of a large business conglomerate, is looking to hire an EDIBLE OILS TRADER. The position will be based out of Kolkata, India. The position will handle the trading of bulk/loose edible oil at Kandla port, India. Job Title: MANAGER / SR. MANAGER BULK SALES (EDIBLE OIL) Location: KOLKATA, India Purpose of the Position: 1. Assisting in local purchase and sales of crude and refined edible oils in Kandla Port (alternatively, Krishnapatnam port can be considered) 2. Development of new and stable customer base for sales to achieve monthly targets 3. Identifying and executing local trading opportunities in local market to capture margins 4. Active tracking of local markets including supply and demand drivers and local crop conditions 5. End to end trade execution management from sales or purchase order to delivery of goods 6. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to expand market reach Detailed Responsibilities: 1. Expanding sales network to increase volumes while maintaining margin targets 2. Identifying and executing local trading opportunities 3. Building a consistent client base to ensure regular plant operation at optimum capacity 4. Developing strong understanding of international and local market drivers for traded commodities Educational Qualifications: Essential: Graduate / Post Graduate Work Experience Requirements: Essential: 5 to 10 years Industry: Edible Oils Work Level: Manager or above Organizational Interfaces: Internal: Sourcing and Trading, Risk Management, Plant Operations External: Clients, Brokers Knowledge & Skills: 1. Fluent in English and Hindi 2. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP 3. Strong analytical and fundamental knowledge 4. People management skills 5. Knowledge of edible oil industry 6. Commodity trading knowledge 7. Understanding of derivatives like futures and options 8. Strong rapport with buyers and brokers Job Competencies: 1. Strong drive to succeed with balanced aggression 2.
